PPA 40

I decided to try this monochromatic challenge over at Pals Paper Art.
Of course as you can tell the color was blue. My mother-in-law
had given me these ginger jars with a Blue Willow print of them and
they immediately came to mind when I saw this challenge. I used my
punches to make the vases. I used stamp from the new Summer Mini
to decorate the vases. My biggest challenge was to find a place to take
a picture with the right light so you could se the true colors. Brilliant
Blue and Bordering Blue were used here.

Mojo Monday 136

I played with this Mojo Monday layout and struggled to
put on paper an idea floating around in my head. Still not
happy with the end result but didn't want to spend any more
time on it since I have so many other cards I want to make. I
do love participating in these challenges because it gives you so
many options of ways to create your art on paper. So back to
my stamps and maybe you will see me again later.

Pedaling Past

I love Bashful Blue and Real Red together. When I saw this set
with bicycles I knew I had to have it since my son rides to compete
and I needed this set for his scrapbooking pages which he knows
nothing about. He's grown and out of the house and so someday
I will surprise him with this lovely book that he might appreciate.
If not then I will give it to my grandkids. Hear that Matt? lol.

Tropical Party

I know I haven't blogged in a few days and I kept meaning
to but I have been stamping up a storm and didn't want to stop!
I guess I was on a roll. But now I am ready to share with you and
hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. This card
uses Bermuda Bay, Summer Sun, and Cameo Coral. All these colors
will be gone in two months but I love them with this stamp set. It
just screams summer time to me. Stay tune for a few more post later
today or tomorrow. I'm on my way to the doctor's for my third visit
since surgery. I hope he says I can put weight on this foot so I can
start doing more although it has allowed me to stamp a lot so I'm not
sure if walking will be a good thing or not!!! Just kidding. Ta ta for now.

Have Stamps Will Travel - Mojo 135

So I'm trying to use up all my DSP and not hoard it which I am so guilty
of. I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for this card. I used the new Sentimental Journey set in the new Summer Mini which will be available to everyone on May 1st. I used some of my
Sweet Pea DSP and the Sizzix Circle #2 die as well. I thought I was
going to turn out a zillion cards today but only got this one done. I
have had company and so many phone calls from all my wonderful
friends and co-workers. I so appreciate everyone and their cards, meals
(which my hubby really appreciates!), and flowers. It has really helped
with being stranded in the house for a whole month. I need to be making
a whole lot of thank you cards here soon. Ta ta for now.

A Little Bit of Fairy Charm

I wasn't going to buy this set, "A Little Bit of Magic" but I have to remember that my
customers might like this set and so I said what the heck and bought it. It actually was
fun to color. The background on this one was stamped in Rich Razzleberry with the
Pretty Petals stamp. Loving that one. My girlfriend actually thought it was DSP!! I
colored this fairy with pencils and then used Gambisol to blend the colors. I added a
clear rhinestone brad to one of her wings.

This little fairy was colored with markers and some fine green glitter
was added to her collar and the center of the flower which is not showing
up as green. Bermuda Bay, Barely Banana, and Whisper White are the
colors used here.

Mother's Day Is Coming

Here is a card I made for the Late Nite Stamper's Challenge.
I used the two step Awash With Flowers set. I love pinks and
greens together. I hope to make a few more cards since I am
home and not able to walk. Lots of new Summer Mini
stuff to play with so stay tuned.....................

New Header For My Blog

My girls came home this weekend and helped me move some of my stamp stuff down to the spare bedroom so I could dig into my new Summer Mini stamps and play a little. I will probably tackle that little ball of fun tomorrow when I will be home by myself for awhile. So be on the lookout for a card share tomorrow sometime. By the way, how do you like my new blog header? I actually have had time to play with My Digital Studio and created this blog header all by myself! Now that I have done it once I will not be afraid to change it from time to time. You should try it. I picked one flower and made it different sizes as well as chose different colors to celebrate the coming of summer and of course the Sumer Mini Catalog!!!! The centers of the flowers are actually black brads that I made smaller. So what do you think? Go on and try it yourself. You can do it. If you have any questions just ask away. I will do my best to put you at ease.

My Excitement Failed Me!

Since I don't have any cards to share with you at the moment I thought I would tell you about my morning. I was so excited when my husband brought in the mail and there on the island crying my name was my Stampin Success Magazine. I immediately swooped it up and rolled back to my bed as fast as my knee roller would carry me without tipping over. (See post below) I finally got in the bed, elevated my mending foot and ripped open the plastic covering on the magazine. I noticed that SU had also sent a package of card stock in the new colors also wrapped in plastic. I just couldn't stand it so I ripped the plastic off frantically trying to see the other colors sandwiched in the middle and all of a sudden the WHOLE pack flew up in the air and down the back of my headboard never to be retrieved by me since I only have a leg to stand on! So frustrating but I will be nice to my hubby and I'm sure he will do his best to retrieve it. The magazine is awesome and makes my mouth water like it was chocolate SU was dangling in front of me. Of course I don't know what I'm saying. I can't get up to the stamp room just yet but look out stairs as soon as I can , I'm a running up you, never to return to the main floor again!! Lol. Well gang this is the story of a stamper going mad while on bedrest for two weeks. Today is my second doctor's appointment so pray for good news and a speedy recovery to the Stamp Room! Ta ta for now.

Hello Everyone

Well those of you who follow my blog and might have been wondering where I've been well here is the scoop. I have been wearing a air cast boot since the first of January for some foot problems I had been having for a year and a half. Yesterday I had surgery for cyst/tumors in my heel bone and other parts of my foot. The doctor had to cut a window in my heel bone, biopsy the cyst and then insert synthetic bone and then reattach the bone window. He also found some other areas in my foot that he didn't like the looks of and cleaned up some of it but thinks I will need more surgery down the road. Arthritis is not my friend!!! I have a big bandage and splint up to my knee and right now my leg is numb from the knee down to help with the pain. I have a cute little knee scooter to help me get around because I don't have enough upper arm strength to use crutches to walk very far so the scooter is a big help. I can't put any weight on my left foot for a month!!! So no getting upstairs to my stamp room. Talk about depression!!! So I will just have to enjoy all of your creations out there in cyberland until I can get up there again. I may get my friends to bring down some of my things to play with if I start going through some bad withdrawals!! I have so many wonderful friends here to help me when my dear and patient husband isn't home. But for now I am stuck in bed with my foot elevated and Mr. Darcy lying next to me. What more could I possibly want? Since I'm not able to go anywhere I will probably write on my blog a little from time to time to keep you posted if you are interested otherwise see ya later.
