Tomatoes Coming out of My Ears!!!!

Can you believe this? My husband who planted these tomato plants told me there were a few on the vine the other day. A few my foot!! I put up ten quarts and probably will get another ten quarts done this week. Either that or I'll be eating a lot of tomato sandwiches. Yummy!!!

Fire Fighter To The Rescue

My husband and I were invited to a cookout this weekend and part of the reason the cookout was held was to help raise money for a couple's sixteen year old daughter who was recently diagnosed with non Hodgkins lymphoma. They are facing financial need and so we all thought we would help out. The hostess had tee shirts made for the fund raiser and sold them for $20. I made a set of Fire Fighter cards (since most of the guys there were firemen) and donated them to be sold as well. I'm sure there will be more of these fund raisers down the road. I am so thankful for healthy children but I know that that can change at anytime. I pray for Shelby and her parents to get through this trying time as fast as possible and without any serious side effects.

Fire Trucks

I have several different fire truck stamps and I wanted to get them all on this card instead of making three different ones. I was running out of time and needed to finish in order to get to the cookout on time.

Is This The Eiffel Tower?

So I thought I would do Di Gibbs first color challenge using Bashful Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive. I used the brayer and sponges with all the colors on Whisper White and used the tower from the Chic Boutique stamp set.

D is For Dog and Mr. Darcy

Whenever I have Mr. Darcy groomed, I always stamp a card
for the groomer. I used the D is For Dog set and a piece of the
Dusty Durango ribbon. Of course I put a little tip inside.

Dash Away!

This week Anne Bright gave us recipes for our Christmas Album. They all sound
so yummy. I hope to try them out in the next few weeks. They of course are all
low calorie. NOT!!!! Anyway this is the first card we made and my favorite. I use
the newSoft Suede to stamp Dasher and the new Soft Suede ribbon. I love how Stampin Up made the ribbon reversible. The snowflake is from Season of Friendship. Our recipe group had a really good time while making the cards and I once again forgot to take a picture of the group. Sorry guys. I promise I'll get one before we finish the album.

Holly Jolly

For this card in our recipe class we made the tree out of Corner Punches with some of last season's DSP. A very simple card and boy does this recipe scream YUMMO!

Saaaaa Sweet

So I had some left over Red Riding Hood Top Notes and used it for this recipe card along
with a stamp from the "Sweet Season" set and the snow flakes are from the Christmas Punch hostess set. The ribbon is "Sleigh Bells" in the new mini coming soon to you!!!

Delightful Decorations Recipe Card

Okay this was the first of the four recipe cards this week that I created and I have to tell you it
was my least favorite but turned out to be one of the class favorites. Go Figure!! We sponged Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White. Added the Ornaments in the same colors and used the new Ornament Punch. The small snowflakes are from the Level 2 Hostess set "Christmas Punch". I see I also forgot to trim my silver cord which is in the new Holiday Mini too. It also comes in gold!

Advance Class with Michelle Zindorf!

This was the first card we did in the Advance class using
embossing and sponging and of course brayering. I love the
way the the card was layered with corner punches and brads.
If you are thinking about taking one of Michelle Zindorf's
classes and think that you won't take the advance, think again
because once you are there and take the Beginner's class, you will
wish you had signed up for her Advanced class. I never wanted her
class to end. She is very down to earth and an excellent teacher. Thanks
Michelle for an amazing day.

This was a technique where we mirrored the image. Love the colors

This was the last card we did concentrating on the foreground first
and then the background

Michelle Zindorf and Moi.

So here I am with Michelle. I could hardly contain my excitement. I have waited since February for this class and now it's come and gone. My girlfriend Linda went with me on this four hour trip to Lynchburg. We left home Friday afternoon and stayed over night in Lynchburg so we could make sure we were on time for her class. Michelle is a lovely lady and an excellent teacher. I enjoyed every minute I was there and came home ready to brayer the world!!!! Actually Linda and I left after I took the advanced class which ended a little before 6pm. We arrived home about 9:45 pm and I heard the bed calling my name! I will post the rest of my cards tomorrow from the advanced class.

Brrrrrr, It's Chilly Out There.

So here I am in Lynchburg with Michelle Zindorf!!!!! Isn't this card awesome? It was our first card and so much fun to make. Before we got started, Michelle asked the group to stand around her table so she could give us the all important lesson of brayering. It was an Ah Hah Moment. The class was fun and she gave us so many wonderful tips as well as encouragement as we brayered and brayered and brayered. I was very happy with my results.

Moonlight

So this was our second card and we learned to brayer from the corner down. Of course the moon was made with a post it note but this card reminded me of Halloween. Now where is that witch on her broomstick?

Tropical Paradise Anyone?

This was the last card we did in the Beginner's Brayer Class with Michelle. She also showed us two other cards exactly like this but using different colors instead of blues. I can't wait to experiment with this card. I could hardly wait for the advanced class. I will post those cards later. I will tell you that those in the Beginner's class who didn't sign up for the Advanced were kicking themselves. They were hoping for a cancellation!!!

Stampin Up Convention Continued

Well here I am with Bella and Dawn from USTAMP. I'm not sure what I was doing, (I think I was trying to look thinner!!) but I was happy to meet up with my new friends. Dawn was named #1 Demonstrator in the US. What a honor.

Isn't this card beautiful? It was done by Jen Picard who I met thru USTAMP last month. We met up at convention and I will tell you she is one sweet lady and talented too! Thanks Jen for your swap.

Here is another swap that was just given to me at the airport going home by Linda Hunt from Housatonic, MA. I actually met Linda in Chicago on my way out to Salt Lake City. She sat in front of me on the plane. Then we were on the same plane going home!! She used the Season of Joy and Teeny Tiny Wishes sets for this wonderful Christmas Card. Love it.

I just love the colors Kristy Schalk used in this little treat bag. And can you believe it? Even the candy matches!!! I sat with Kristy at lunch one day during convention and she was kind enough to just give me this 3-D swap. (I was out of swaps) Thank you again Kristy!!! I'm telling you that stampers are just the nicest people!!!

This is the punch template that was in Momento Mall at Convention. I am offering one to anyone who signs up as a demo before August 31st. It is an awesome tool to have and you can't buy it in the catalog. It's has a $14.95 value. Now how can you pass this up. I ask you?

Here are two more card swaps from convention. The first one is by Betty Button and uses the set "For All You Do". The one on the right is by Karen Reid using Holiday Blitz, Dotted lines wheel, and On Your Birthday.

Convention Swaps

Here is one of my swaps made by Angela McKay from North Vancouver, BC. It's so darn cute, it almost makes me want to order this set, Beware Pirates.

I'm Back!!!

Hi Everyone. I'm back from convention and am exhausted, educated, inspired, and excited! I met so many new friends and learned so many new tips, news about new items, and got some awesome swaps. I will post a few a day for you to see. I met up with some of my USTAMP friends including Bella, Jen Picard, Maria Pane, and of course Dawn Respas. The days were packed full of classes and demonstrations. So many times I wanted to get up and run home (right! all the way from Utah!!!) after some of the great demo examples SU shared with us. It was amazing how many stampers were on my plane going and coming. And it was a site to behold of stampers on a plane three in a row with an assembly line set up putting together swaps!!! Stampers stamping in the airport terminal and in hotel lobbies. I could go on and on. Will I go back next year? You betcha! Stay tune for more news tomorrow. Oh and these are some gifts I received from Christine, my room mate, Bella, my dear USTAMP friend and Lisa (my upline and #8 top demo in the country!) Take a look now because the chocolate will be gone tomorrow!!

Cheep Talk

This is my last posting until I get back from convention. I have shared all my swaps with you. I am really excited and can't wait to get some new ideas, meet new friends and visit a city I have never been to before. I hope to have lots of information to share with all of you. Heck maybe some of you will be there with me!!! I'm looking forward to meeting some of my new friends from USTAMP class. I'll be back next Sunday so look for some exciting tips and ideas. Thanks for stopping by.

Well this was the last card I made today for swapping at the convention. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and Crushed Curry ribbon along with the Seasons of Friendship Set. Hope everyone likes it.

Medallion For Christmas

I just love this Medallion stamp. This is another card I made for swapping at convention. Do you see why I've been sort of out of touch. Busy, busy, busy.

Fan Mail

These are fans I made for convention to swap with the set, "Puns From The Past" set.

This is a little goodie I made for convention for a swap. It's very simple using the new Snowflake punch from SU and the snowflake stamp from Seasonof Friendship set. When you are doing a lot of a certain project simple sometimes is best.
