Fa La La La La in July

I know it's early and because it is I used some of my Island Oasis DSP in the
SU summer mini catalog as a background paper. It's a little out there but you
know what. I like it! I used the Fun And Fast Notes set for the tree and then
decided to use this print because it had Old Olive in it and well the rest is
history! So what do you think? Give me some feedback. Oh and by the way I
used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch for trim. Hope you had a good
day.

Gifts from Convention

One of the fun things at convention is giving gifts whether it be from your upline,
downline, or just wonderful friends. My sweet friend Jen Picard gave me the little party
box with some candy from Canada in it. I heard she gave Di Gibbs some Catsup potato
chips from Canada. Apparently they are a big thing up there and since that is where Di
is from she was given a bag. Sa-weet Jen! Then I was sitting with Becky Roberts at a make
and take event and we swapped gifts. She made this cute little post it note keychain with
the new Owl punch. Love it, love it, love it. The tin box was given to me by my upline, Lisa
Freeman with a Starbucks gift card in it...........well it "was" in there. Well just got home
from Bunco and am whipped. It's hard having fun all the time. Convention, swapping, bunco.
Oh well. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!! I hope you had a great day.

Convention "Gibbs" Sistas!!

I'm back from Convention and one of my highlights was meeting up with my
"Sista", Di Gibbs. A while back I had chatted on line with her and asked her if she
knew that my maiden name was Gibbs (of course not but you never know with
Cullen followers!!!). Anyway, she said no but did I know that her maiden name was
Fox. She is so witty and just as cute in person as she is on her blog. So full of energy
and talent and it was fun to meet her. Just wish we had more time to sit down and
chat but maybe next year!!! Well I got back to Virginia Beach after one o'clock this
morning. Spent yesterday traveling across the country and hanging out in airports
with one of my best friends, Linda. We took a couple of extra days after convention
and did some sightseeing in Utah. It is a beautiful area. Loved being surrounded by
mountains. Something I don't see everyday. Today I unpacked, did laundry, bonded
with my dogs, and caressed all my new stuff I brought back from convention. Shirts,
apron, tote bags, pens, paper, and of course new stamp sets. One of the biggest
surprises for me was when about 20 minutes before convention closed, Shelli Gardner,
the CEO and founder of SU gave everyone there a Christmas stamp set from the Holiday
Mini, along with Christmas DSP, a stamp pad, and some of the new glass glitter, also
found in the new Holiday Mini. It was so much fun seeing the SU employees come out with
shopping bags with our goodies in them and giving them out. I felt like I was on the Oprah
show. So much fun. I have lots of new ideas and card swaps and hundreds of pictures of
card ideas. OMG the samples and presentations were unbelievable. I hated to see it end but
I don't know if I could have absorbed anymore fun. I am already looking forward to regionals
in Baltimore and hopefully Leadership this year. I hope you had a good day.

"An Evening To Remember" Swap

Well this will be my last post probably until I return from convention
next week. I made fifty of these fronts for my swap on Friday night. I hope
the girls like it. I love Baja Breeze (surprise, surprise!) and so I put it with
Real Red and Whisper White to create this crisp looking card. The stamp set
is one of the new catalog items called "Friends Never Fade". I am so looking
forward to this next week of friendship, stamping, new ideas, and a whole lot
of fun. Until next week..... I hope you have had a good day and have a great
week. I know I will.

Last Minute Swaps

I haven't started to pack and here I am at the last minute deciding
to make some more swaps just for general trading. I made my own
DSP and then used the new Elegant Lines embossing folder. I added
a sentiment from Perfect Punches. I used Old Olive and Poppy
Parade for my color scheme. Tomorrow is going to be a busy
day. I hope you had a great day.

Let Me Count The Ways

This set is so wonderful. It's easy to use and fun to color. I have seen
so many different ways to color the flower and combine different DSPs
with it that are amazing. We made this card at my Open House and it was a
big hit. I used Peach Parfait card stock as well as the ink for the flower. I
also used Pear Pizazz for the stem. The ribbon is some of the new Poppy
Parade which the ink was used for parts of the flower as well. Well it's
been a busy day, trying to get my swaps done and gets things done
around the house before I leave for convention. Only three more days
till I get on that big bird!!! I hope you had a great day.

Blueberry Crisp

I'm suppose to be getting ready to go to the eye doctor but had to finish
this card before anything else. I don't usually go for blues but decided I
need to broaden my "horizons" and branch out a little more. So I combined
this wonderful new DSP Blueberry Crisp (117392) with Pacific Point, Night of
Navy, and Sahara Sand card stock. The stamp set is Pocket Silhouettes (111672)
and the flower punch is from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309). I also used
the Modern punch and Word Window punch. To finish it off I used a piece of
Night of Navy ribbon and last but not least....the new Basic Pearl Jewels (1192470).
These half back jewels have adhesive already on them so they are so easy to use.
I hope you have a great day!

A Little Ray of Sunshine

Well it has been humid, hot, and very dry here. In fact the grass is all turning
brown. So today the rain has come in downpours and the sun is no where to be
found! My dogs need to go out but I keep waiting for the rain to stop and it hasn't
happened. Of course Mr. Darcy doesn't like to get his feet wet so I will have to
pick him up and carry him out to the grass somewhere. Well as soon as it stops
thundering and lightning. I love this new set called "For Everything" and it has
eleven different stamps in it. I also used a couple of the new half back pearls that
already have adhesive on them. Love them, love them, love them. There are also
rhinestones available with the adhesive. Try them both out!!!! Page 188 in the new
SU catalog. I hope you are having a good day.

Studio Sketch

Long time no see huh? It is so amazing that you can be on
a roll for so long turning out card after card and then all of a sudden
it's two or three weeks later and you haven't posted a thing. Well that
has been me these past few weeks. It seems like things just kept pop-
ping up and I couldn't get to my stamps. I mean they were right there
in front of me, calling my name, and I couldn't get to them. It was
killing me because all the new stuff just came out and I wanted to
have some stamp classes and just couldn't get my act together. So today
I had the house to myself and I made myself go to my stamp room and sit
and create. My upline is featuring me as her demo of the month and I have
to give her 10 projects tomorrow night. I hope she likes them. Anyway I
did make this card with the new Studio Sketches set and the awesome Green
house Gala DSP. There are so many cool new paper designs in the new catalog
along with some stamp sets that are to die for! I hope you had a good day!
